Discalced Carmelites of Mary, Mother of Grace

"Hidden with Christ in God” in the heart of the Church, the Discalced Carmelite Nuns live their vocation of prayer, love, and their quest for union with God. Like Mary, they become spiritual mothers through their prayer for the Church and the world. This is lived in a small community where they witness to the joy of the Gospel.

Qualifications: Good moral, physical and psychological health. Free of dependents or debts.
Formation: According to Cor Orans, the Instructions issued by the Holy See in April 2018, the new requirements are: 1 year aspirancy (not necessarily in the Monastery); 1 year postulancy; 2 years novitiate; 5 years temporary vows. (Depending on each candidate, 9-12 years of formation total.)
